German WWII or Pre-war RAD tunic for a Bandsman. This tunic is not only in excellent condtion but is very rare to find! First this tunic is not an issue tunic but was tailor made! This tunic is very nice and of a high quality. Fine twill wool in Brown and has a dark Brown collar which is in the open neck style. Tunic has machine sewn collar tabs, Black with White center emblem. On the sleeve's are the shoudlerboards, also machine sewn into the sleeve and are Brown wool with Black piping, and a single Silver pip with the RAD tress for the rank of Truppfuhrer. The tunic has upper pleated pockets and lower pocket flaps. The buttons are the Silver smooth pebbled style used by the RAD, all buttons match and are maker marked on the back. On the sleeve is a close to mint wool party armband. Next is the RAD shield for 265 in enlisted BeVo. On each sleeve at the top where the shoulder meets are loops several loops for the Musician's swallow "Nests". The swallow "Nests" are also in close to mint condition and are for the RAD with a Tan backing with Silver/Red/Black bullion tress on the front. On the Back are two smooth pebbled buttons for the belt. The liner is a full satin material and has a dagger slot as well as the load or equipment internal straps with the equipment hooks coming out the sides. There is a tailors tag in the neck with is fraying some. This is NOT an issue tunic and I have never seen an RAD Bandsman tunic tailor made like this! The condition is as close to mint as you can get. Rare and tailor made as well!
